Lyin, thinking
last night
How to find my soul a home
Where water is not thirsty

And bread loaf is not stone
I came up with one thing
And i don't believe I'm wrong
That nobody,
But nobody,
Can make it out here alone.
There are some millionaires
with money they can't use
Their wives run around like banshees
Their children sing the blues
They've got expensive doctors
To cure their hearts of stone.
But nobody
No, nobody
Can make it out dere alone.

Now if you listen closely
I'll tell you what know
Storm clouds are Gathering
The wind is gonna blow
The race of man is suffering
And I can hear the Moan,
Cause nobody,
But nobody
Cann make it out here alone,

Alone, all alone
Nobody. but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

Maya Angelou is an accomplished poet ,

,a performer, a dancer; an actress, a director,
and a teacher. She was born on April 4,1928,
in St. Louis Missouri. She is also a three-time

spoken word recordings. She is the a bestselling
poem writer.

I like this poem because, it’s about how it can
be hard when you are lonely. It says that
some people can’t make it in life by themselves.
“Alone” tells you how things are
different when you’re alone. The poem
has a rhythm. The poem is a metaphor.
The difference between being alone
and not alone is that when you not
alone you can do things normally,
then when you are.

In my heart
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

E. E. Cummings-Edward Estlin Cummings was born
October 14, 1894 in the town of Cambridge
Massachusetts.His father, and most
constant source of awe, Edward Cummings,
was a professor of Sociology and
Political Science at Harvard University.
In 1900, Edward left Harvard to become
the ordained minister of the
South Congregational Church, in Boston.
As a child, E.E. attended Cambridge public
schools and lived during the summer with his
family in their summer home in Silver Lake,
New Hampshire.

I really like this peom. It's about love , and the
meanings of love. This poem repeats the words "i carry

it in my heart". It gives a statement about true love
and what your heart has to do with it. "In my heart"
tells you about loving someone. This is an
metaphor poem, it doesn't use like or as.

I like this poem, because it states good
stuff on love and a good theme.

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in every dirt
But still, like dust , I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own backyard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I"ll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

"Still I Rise" is a good poem about a saying that someone is
trying to put you down , but still you rise, still she makes it.
The poem is a simile. It is a deeply good poem about
succeeding . I like this poem, because it's wealthy it
makes a point and a theme. Maya Angelou is
a good writer and poem writer.

by: Sarah Evangelista---Dr.Seuss

I have a pet named Swog
We keep her down by a bog
Her talent is to drive a car
Everytime she goes she brings a jar
When it comes to her birthday
It will always be a "perfect day"

Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as the
beloved Dr. Seuss, was born in 1904 on Howard Street
in Springfield, Massachusetts. Ted's father, Theodor Robert,
and grandfather were brewmasters in the city.
His mother, Henrietta Seuss Geisel, often soothed her
children to sleep by "chanting" rhymes remembered from
her youth. Ted credited his mother with both his ability and
desire to create the rhymes for which he became so well

The "Swog" is a funny poem by Dr.Seuss. The poem is about
a dog named Swog. The poem rhymes and is very short.
The poem"Swog is a personification , because dog's
can't drive or bring stuff like if humans would do. Dr.Seuss is
a good poem writer, his poems are funny.

Christmas is.......

Christmas is fun,
Christmas is daring,
Christmas is loving,
Christmas is caring,

Sitting under the christmas tree,
A bunch of presents all staring at me,
One by one they look me in the eye,
Unwrap unwrap i quickly sigh,

Lots of food all nice and yum,
Waiting anxiously to be in my tum,
Tasty tasty,
No wastey wastey,

Time for games,
Time for fun,
This game, so easily won! !

Time a tidy,
Tidy away,
Ready for use another day,
Bye bye christmas,
Bye bye fun,
Night night everyone,
Bye bye sun!

Messy room

Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
His underwear is hanging on the lamp.
His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair,
And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp.
His workbook is wedged in the window,
His sweater's been thrown on the floor.
His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV,
And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door.
His books are all jammed in the closet,
His vest has been left in the hall.
A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed,
And his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall.
Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
Donald or Robert or Willie or--
Huh? You say it's mine? Oh, dear,
I knew it looked familiar!

my poems

All I want is someone to laugh
Someone to listen, then smile

All I want is someone to get the laugh
Someone to get the joke
Someone to totally crack up

All I want is someone to laugh
Someone to lighten up
Someone to not take life so seriously
Someone to laugh out loud from their toes north

All I want is someone to laugh
Someone to show me teeth and gums
Someone to smile ear to ear
Someone to giggle 'til their jaw aches
Someone to roll off their chair

All I want is a laugh out loud audience of peopIe

I am sharp and forcused
I wondered what the camera really sees
I hear the buzzing bee
I see flowers in early morning light
I want to stop time in a box
I am sharp and forcused

I pretend to be a statue
I feel the shakes inside
I touch the shutter button
I worry about the blurry result
I cry that the moment has forever passed
I am sharp and focused

I understand momments in time
I say let's freeze them forever
I dream of watercolor effects coming to life
I try to see all the soft mute edges
I hope it happens someday
I am sharp and focused

Yes, that's me

Look and you'll see
My hair a frizzy halo around my head
My eyes scanning for possibility
My arms reaching for experience
My hands clapping with delight

My heart filled with caring
I'm the one you can depend on
I never let you down
My friends call me a clown
I live to laugh
I hope to smile all day
I dream of jokes to say
It's all as clear as can ne.
That's positively, absolutely me

I can't Write a Poem

Forget it.
You must be kidding.
Im going back to sleep.
My head hurts.

I can't concentrate.
I have nothing to write with.
I have no pencil.
It's to cold in here.
What to write?
I don't know how to write a poem anyway
My braces are too tight. I need some medicine.
Time's up? what?
All I have is a dumb list of excuses.
You like it? Huh? What?
Haha! Thanks a lot.Would you like to see another one?
